Ecotasa (also called tourist rate, sustainable tourism tax or ecological tax) is a tax that encompasses different areas, from recycling to consumption itself through tourism.
Specifically, this rate aims to protect heritage and promote tourism. Thus, the income it generates is used for projects ranging from the rehabilitation of tourist space to some of sustainable tourism.
The tourist rate that should be paid per person and night in houses and farms rented to summer vacationers is 2 euros in high season (between May and October) and season low to 0.50 euros.
A 50% discount is granted from the ninth overnight stay in the same accommodation. Children up to 15 years of age are exempt from tax.
